Bowls

Elements of Ceramics
Class of 2024
For my Fall Art Show I decided to focus on bowls. At first, I set out to create a bowl, plate, and mug. I then realized it would be better for me to focus on bowls, considering it is my first time in a ceramics class. I wanted to make bowls of different thicknesses and sizes. I used a coral glaze on my bowls. First, I dip-dyed the bowls in white glaze. I then painted on a light pink color and glaze-fired my pieces. My goal was for all of my bowls to have the same texture, glaze, and overall shape to create my cohesive set. I am most proud of myself for going into the ceramics studio outside of class to work on my bowls. I hope to continue my ceramics journey next year!
